The sun shines all day.
It shines with all its power.
It does not hold back,
For fear of burning someone's skin.
It does not wonder if it is too bright.
That it might be hurting someone's eyes.

Would the plants be as green?
If it guarded its brilliance,
Would the flowers grow?

Its glory spills into the night.
Even as the world turns away,
The moon and the stars share its beauty,
To be seen and admired.

That no matter what happens,
